EleFamily

EleFamily is the kernel of all of our software products; it is the core class library of highly re-usable and purely object-oriented code upon which all of our current and future products build up - including the EleAIS web server, which uses the same technology.

Although EleFamily itself is not a product it must still be mentioned in the first place, because all our software products are constructed from re-using EleFamily to a high degree of typically between 75% and up to 95%.

Elestore - Product Content Management

Elestore is the Product Content Management system with multi-media database and therefore the central and most important product of the en-tire family. It stores and administrates any type of product related data and catalog content and acts as the master database providing all other members of the EleFamily with the needed data. Data inheritance is only one of the many new and unique features.

Currently Release 2.3 is in use, the fifth major release; Versions of Elestore are also integrated in other products when used stand-alone; can be configured very easily from a basic skeleton to the most comprehensive versions with all available features

EleAIS - Article Information System

Article Information System on your website
and web server in Ajax technology. EleAIS is the extension of Elestore onto the Internet bringing detailed product data onto your Website, up-to-the-minute, fully automatically and in the latest Ajax technology, i.e. as an application software in the web browser.
EleAIS integrates Elecat and Elepost and other EleFamily applications.

Written in the same technology as EleFamily, this is a web application server in Ajax technology, i.e. an application in the Internet browser.

Elecat - Electronic Product Catalog

Electronic product catalog software for paper catalogs on the Internet and on CD-ROM; makes paper product catalogs intelligently usable in any PC and on the Internet. It consists of a reader software for the browser using only HTML, Flash and JavaScript.
Elecat fully preserves the original paper layout.

Elecat is integrated into EleAIS, YellowParts and CATpool.

It somewhat resembles PDF but Elecat is almost one year older than PDF. The origins of Elecat date back to January 1993 !!! when this first version of an e-paper software was introduced in Würzburg, Germany.

Elefind - Search engine interface

Embeds search results from the OmniFind Yahoo! search engine into EleAIS, Elecat or Elestore. Comprises of the user interface and the application interface to the OmniFind search engine. It also makes the EleAIS database contents or Elecat page contents available to the OmniFind crawler and also to the crawlers of the public search engines like Google, Yahoo!, MSN etc. so that your database and page content gets listed there.

Delivers high-end searching capabilities to EleAIS, Elecat or Elestore like on Google, Yahoo, or MSN but entirely in your design and logo and only for your data and your website.

Elepost - Web communication system

Elepost is integrated into EleAIS, Elecat and the portals providing direct communication between business partners such as:
Instant messenger and chats for professional use from your website
E-mail for regular customers with several special features
VoIP it also contains an integrated VoIP system (voice over IP, Internet telephony)

For the Elepost operator it offers additionally:
Text module database for quickly composing messages
Integrated archive for messages, e-mails and documents
A module to contact visitors of your website while they are surfing
All fully integrated into the other EleFamily software product

Instant Messages and VoIP on a website is a rather new way of communication with customers

Absolutely new and unique is ability to contact anonymous website visitors from the server side in order to offer them support and advice via Elepost.

Elepub - Database Publishing

Elepub, the Object Database Publishing system, generates very flexible and attractive layouts, pages and entire publications fully automatically from data in Elestore for paper, e-paper and electronic media. Elepub produces electronic publications including HTML autonomously without any need for DTP software but it also very closely co-operates with DTP software.
Elepub offers a new form of automatically publishing database content to container-based, 3D frame structures created from inheriting template objects. It offers a unique form of linking data with frames and several technical specialities such as various intelligent table types.

Elepub is completely integrated with Elestore and therefore no data export or import to Elepub is ever needed. The data on Elepub pages is the data in the database, not from the database, no data copies, no links, except when expressively wanted such as for editorial deadline or archiving.

Our flagship and most sophisticated product; unique in many aspects, especially its own 3D page structures constructed from inheritable containers, complex table objects and frames; offers unique form of visualizing data-base content without copying data

Elepub prints directly or to PDF, generates HTML itself and exports finished pages to InDesign for color separation; soon also export to XML available, Flash planned for 2007.

Elecat-P2H - PDF to HTML converter

The PDF-to-HTML converter offers a quick and simple route to use existing paper catalogs on the Internet by converting them from PDF to HTML while preserving most of the original layout structures.

To achieve good results one must have some knowledge of fonts and graphics or work into the technical conditions of PDF and HTML; its not a one click conversion, which is just impossible.

EleRobot

Automatic operator for applying modifications fully automatically to the content in Elestore by using MSExcel spreadsheets, formulas and, if needed, its integrated VisualBasic programming language

Makes the most of MSExcel and its many programmable features for Elestore content.

EleExchange

EleExchange enables Elestore to exchange product data with customers, vendors and other business partners. EleExchange supports all important data standards for the exchange of product and price data like Arua, Datanorm BMEcat, Etim, Eldanorm, Zvehnorm, XML and others.

Available as an extension to Elestore or stand-alone; in use since early 2007

EleExxel

EleExxel provides complex multi-line exporting, formatting and printing capabilities for article objects to MSExcel using MSExcel template sheets, which can be created easily by any PC user with some Excel experience.

ElePricelist

ElePricelist uses the more flexible and more comprehensive formatting capabilities of MS Word. It constitutes a quick and stand-alone price list generator, HTML generator, printing and exporting software. ElePricelist can also embed several MSExcel sheets generated by EleExxel into one MSWord document, because EleExxel is part of ElePricelist.

EleProductSite

EleProductSite automatically generates an entire website in HTML with detailed product pages and the navigation logic from content in Elestore. The layout of the generated HTML product pages can be freely and easily designed by any user of MS Office software by defining template files in MSExcel or MSWord. This is a simple yet very effective solution for every normal user of MS Office without need to know the internals of HTML.
Alternatively, EleProductSite can also use HTML template files, which are filled with data from Elestore. This is the professional solution for the experienced HTML designer offering total design flexibility and control over the generated HTML pages. In both cases the navigation as well as links for article numbers and pages is generated by EleProductSite. It also delivers the HTML pages for use in the EleAIS web server.

EleHelp

EleHelp is the help, user manual and technical documentation authoring system for documentation in HTML, PDF, Windows WinHelp or the very special EleHelp browser. It stores content in an extended Elestore database, supports MSWord, RTF and MSExcel and offers innovative forms of administrating content in small text items, which can easily be re-used avoiding content redundancies. Multi-lingual, with several types of variables inside texts and many link types; many advantages from use of database versus other file based systems; cross-links and joined content usage with Elestore and Elepub.

Under final development;
The HelpBrowser will be included in most EleFamily products.

EleHelp will become a stand-alone product for
text-heavy user manuals, technical documentation and online help systems.

Elequote

Article objects in Elestore with their extremely comprehensive set of at-tributes (variables) and their embedded text objects are used to create individually formatted and expressive multi-page quotes in MSWord based on article sequences imported from an MSExcel sheet or from orders. Order are either imported or entered manually in the Elequote order entry software. Elequote uses predefined templates in MSWord files to format data content from Elestore.

Elecom

Communication system for direct bi-lateral data communication with vendors and customers; data is transmitted via email and automatically exported to and imported from MSOutlook and Elestore; data can optionally be encrypted and stamped with a receiver identification so that it can only be imported by the designated EleFamily installation of the receiver. Same as for Elestore.

EleOrder - Order Processing System

Very comprehensive order entry, administration and transaction exchange system based on local software and local database with direct communication between business partners using (not only) CATpool product data. EleOrder offers full support of all activities in the Internet browser, i.e. the same logic working in local desk-top clients is also used as a web server. EleOrder will support the very sophisticated XML-based data exchange standard “profiClass” with support for all business processes from enquiry, via offers, orders, to invoices and payment. EleOrder fully automates editing, storage and exchange of all transaction data between regular business partners including reporting and transaction entry and maintenance features.
EleOrder will also become an important part of the CATpool system!

Internet portals

These Internet portals are based on the EleFamily software and especially on EleAIS and Elecat and they consist by more than 90% of the same software. Among their specialities is the combination of Internet portal with local software for multiple re-use of the data.

The main distinctions are:

• YellowParts is a public portal primarily for attracting new customers
• CATpool is member based with emphasis on local software and direct data exchange
• Elebizz is the company specific amalgam of YellowParts, CATpool and EleFamily software

Elebizz is a private, company specific amalgam of YellowParts and CATpool plus several EleFamily products for use to better collaborate and communicate with regular business partners, for fully automatic data exchange and new forms of communication.

Future plans

Don't worry, we have plenty of ideas waiting to be implemented but our days have only 24 hours and we are a German software house infected by the very German attitude of being "gründlich" and trying to practice for what German engineering has been famous for generations (there is no real word for "gründlich" in English, it means something like very thorough, systematic, done with the best possible efforts).

A software product that is "finished" is finished in the sense of “dead”. This is why we permanently enhance our software family and why we openly disclose our future plans for enhancing EleFamily as opposed to the general practice in the software industry. We believe that this is an essential aspect for customers who are critical and conscious of the importance of the software lifecycle and of good concepts for the future.
